Su Yafeng, from Luoyang, Henan. Influenced by brother Su yatuan in his childhood, he loved painting and calligraphy very much. He was admitted to Luoyang Art Vocational College in 1987, and studied traditional Chinese painting in Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in 2000. He was taught by Mr. He Jiaying, Huo Chunyang, Jia Guangjian and so on, and benefited from him, it has laid a deep traditional foundation. His freehand paintings focus on the creation of small freehand flowers and birds, especially the peony paintings form their own unique style, enjoying both refined and popular tastes and are deeply loved by the public. At the same time, he also gave consideration to the creation of meticulous painting. In 2010, he went to China Society of meticulous painting to learn the creation of meticulous painting. Su Yafeng is now a member of China Artists Association, a member of China meticulous painting society, the vice president of Luoyang Imperial Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, the director of Luoyang Art Association, and the vice chairman of Luoyang Suixi Art Association. Su Yafeng's works dig deep into the tradition, strive for innovation and blend into the spirit of the times. He is a famous painter of Chinese fine brushwork, and dozens of his students have become members of the provincial Art Association.
