He studied in Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts, Chinese Academy of Art, National Academy of Painting, Rongbaozhai Academy of Painting, etc. He successively learned from Mr. Long Rui, Zhang Peiwu, Shao Menglong, etc. He is a member of China Artists Association, a teaching assistant tutor of the painting and calligraphy senior research class of Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts, and a disciple of Professor Xu Peichen, the Oriental Monkey King.
Liu Zhaohong pays equal attention to calligraphy, landscape, flowers and birds, characters and characters. Especially good at painting monkeys. His works are pure and elegant, with both form and spirit, and are perfect. Mountains and rivers are painted with books, drawn directly with pens, mixed with ink and wash, and are in chaos.
